Work...work...work :)

Still not very good at posting on this blog! Not that the 21 hits I have had really accounts for demand (half of which are probably Jamie!) LOL

It was a long 2nd quarter for me at work. I took two trips to California (San Diego County and Orange County), organized a lobby blitz for the Vermont Delegation (in a week...which we normally have two months to organize) and completed a 50 state survey on truck size and weights. And in between all of this work I had visits from my friend Nicole, both of my moms, my sister Jamie and her family and my cousin Troy. I also took a weeks vaction to Switzerland, a weekend trip to Virgina Beach and a weekend trip to New York! I am suprised I was able to sleep :)

I finally finished the survey last week! That thing was a pain in my butt...all 198 pages! But if you ever need to know how much a permit will cost you to move an oversized/overweight load through your state I will know :)

This week I had the pleasure of attending a Subcommittee hearing on the Hill. It may seem exciting and kinda of was except that it lasted 5 hours! That is a long time to sit there and listen to testimony about truck size and weights. Even though it may not seem like a hot button issue there was alot of passionate testimony.

Anyway, hopefully I will get a nice bonus!

Here is a picture of the Committee room prior to the hearing and one of my Vermont peeps and Senator Leahy (who by the way is an extra in the new Batman movie and told us a great story about Heath Ledger ~ pretty cool)

How exciting! You have such an interesting life. Scott just got back yesterday from Vermont. He said it is pretty there. Not sure if you went there but funny how you are talking about it and he was just there. See ya!
